Do you have a Job? How do you get to travel so much?

So I often get asked how is it possible that I can travel as often as I do. Well, I just want to clarify a few things before you come to your own conclusion. Yes, I have a job!! I work just like the majority of people Monday-Friday during usual corporate hours. I get the average amount of PTO days that corporate jobs offer. Most importantly No I don’t have a sponsor, sugar daddy or anything of the sort lol. I Just love to travel so I’ll give you a few tips on how I’m able to do it.

#1 MAKE TRAVELING A PRIORITY

Stop making excuses for why you can’t go on that upcoming trip. If you don’t have a passport GET ONE!  If you want to travel you have to make it a priority on your list of things to do. I personally make it a goal that I have to leave the country at least once a quarter and I plan around such.

#2 BUDGET

Because I’m not rich and my trips aren’t currently being sponsored budget my funds are very important. Every pay period I set aside money in a “travel savings” account. This helps ease those spontaneous trips and expensive exclusions I love to go on. If you don’t remember anything I say remember this YOU ARE NEVER TO BROKE TO TRAVEL!!

#3 GET YOU A GROUP OF FRIENDS THAT TRAVEL

I do both large group trip and smaller intimate ones. What they both have in common is that I’m traveling with at least one friend the loves the same thing.  I started off traveling with a couple of friends and as time went on I met more people on trips that I later traveled with. You don’t necessarily need a whole group to leave the country, start off with one and you’ll be fine.

#4 TRAVEL AROUND A HOLIDAY & WEEKENDS

Traveling around a holiday and the weekends can save you vacation days which can allow you to have a longer trip.

#5 BE OPEN MINDED

Not every trip has to be on an exotic island all-inclusive resort. Design your trip how you want it. Be open to staying at AirbNbs or hostels. Go to a country that isn’t the prime hotspot at the time. Doing this allows you to explore a countries culture more and save money at the same time.

#6 LOOK OUT FOR DEALS

There are so many flight deals out glitches out there and I’m always one to look for a deal. The thing about a flight glitches is that once you spot one you have to buy it right on the spot as they don’t last long.

#6 JUST BUY THE TICKET AND GO!!
